In Matthew 8, our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated that He has power over degeneration, diseases, men, nature, and devils.
- He healed the leprous man and restored his skin.
- He healed the son of the centurion by sending His word (Luke 8:9-10)
- He instructed men on what to do
- He exercised authority over nature
- He cast out devils from the man of Gadara
I have no doubt that Jesus is ready to restore what leprosy have eaten; heal relatives who are not even in the meeting; speak to direct us; speak to situations, and cast out devils.
Ways to transfer the power of God
There are two main ways to transferring the power that heals, liberate, and restores:
- Through the spoken word
- By a touch of the hand
Remember
Any time we have come into the presence of the Lord, we know or must know that;
1. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen:
This is what faith is. The thing you hold on to as though you have what you desired of God. Faith is a substance and an evidence. Faith is tangible and not abstract! Faith is real, not just a belief!
2. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of the one sent to you:
Not every prophet is sent to you. Every prophet is sent to a particular people. May you receive the men sent to you!
3. Faith must have works with it to deliver; faith without works is dead:
- Faith receives: Great faith does not wait to be touched; great faith receives through the spoken word. The centurion did not need Jesus under his roof, he just wanted the word.
- Faith speaks Those who believe speak what they believe.
- Faith prays: (Luke 18) Prayer is the force that sustains faith. Men who stop praying eventually stop believing.
- Faith obeys and acts: When God called Abram, he obeyed and went out not knowing where he was going.
- Faith waits: The fathers received the promise by faith and patience.
- Faith gives and sacrifices: Abraham by faith sacrificed Isaac; by faith, Abel offered an excellent sacrifice; if you believe in something, you give towards it.
Stay blessed
father, build in me a strong faith and let my faith deliver in Jesus’ name. Amen.
