3 John 1:2 (NKJV) — “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
Everyone wants to prosper. Everyone wants to be healthy. But God shows us a key principle: your external life will only prosper as your soul does. If your attitude is off, your life can’t go right—even if everything around you looks like it should work.
Check Your Heart; Ask yourself:
- Am I resisting authority instead of honoring it? (Insubordination)
- Am I unreliable in commitments? (Unfaithfulness)
- Am I avoiding effort and hoping things work out? (Laziness)
- Am I never satisfied, always chasing more? (Greed)
- Am I always thinking of myself first? (Self-centeredness)
- Am I acting helpless to avoid doing my part? (Weaponizing incompetence)
These are not harmless habits. They are soul blockers, and a blocked soul can’t prosper. God wants you to flourish, but He also wants your character to match your calling.
Fixing your attitude isn’t about earning God’s love — He already loves you.
It’s about aligning your soul with His will so He can trust you with more.
Pick ONE area to work on today. Start small, Be honest, and Make the shift. Remember, soul prosperity leads to life prosperity. Fix what’s inside — and watch what God does outside.
Prayer
Father, I want to prosper, but I know it starts with my soul. Reveal any toxic attitude in me; disobedience, laziness, pride, or selfishness. Cleanse me! Change me! Shape me! Make my soul healthy, so my life can follow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
