One of the most dramatic conversions in the New Testament is the conversion of Apostle Paul. Indeed, not just because of the lightening and voices that came with it but for the fact that at conversion, the apostle knew that there must be a reason for which Jesus would apprehend him. In Acts 9:6, his first question to the Lord was “what would you have me do for you”.
The year 2018 is our year of ‘Grace to Double‘; we are liberated and empowered to double on every side and in every good work. If you really want to increase, be fruitful, productive, and prospered, then I have this council for you;
- Focus on what you have to be doing rather than what you want to be.
- Focus on what you ought to be doing rather than answering your critics back.
- Focus on what you have to be doing rather than trying to convince people who won’t believe you anyway.
In 2018, we want to focus on what we ought to be doing;
To live by the way, the truth, and the life: In fact, Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. He is the way to the Father, the truth, and the zoe. We are going to live by the way, the truth, and the life at our workplaces, homes, in the streets, in the mountains and even in the lion’s den. While we date or remain single, we will live by the way, the truth and the life. Make this resolution and keep it.
To publish the way, the truth, and the life: Please don’t publish anything, except it is the way, the truth and the life. This is what we are called to be doing. We will use all creative means to publish the way, the truth and the life.
To reach out to others; widows, orphans and any one else. We would reach out to the highways and hedges; reach out to cities and countrysides. Jesus said “go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature”, He also said “go into the world and teach the nations”. We are arising to reach out. We are too busy to do anything else.
To care for the things entrusted to us: If you are a pastor, care for the church; if you are a business person, care for the business.
To equip others to do what we have been taught to do: 2 Timothy 2:2 exhorts us to reproduce ourselves.
Listen! If you will listen to me and do as I have taught, then I believe and declare that you will be fruitful, productive, and prospered.
Remember, in 2018 we are focused on living by the way, the truth and the life; publishing the way, the truth, and the life; reaching out, caring for and equipping others by the way, the truth and the life.
