[Acts 2:40-47 KJV] “And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”
“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.”
“And all that believed were together, and had all things common; and sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.”
“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.“
An unwavering Committment;
- To the decision to save yourself from this untoward generation. This is because you live in an untoward, disobedient, and reckless generation. The whole world lies in sin.
- To recieve, believe, and act on the word of the apostles. This is because the word you recieve, believe, and act on will determine the outcome of your life.
- To continue steadfastly in fellowship with the apostles and brethren. This is where many of us will encounter God and get refuelled! (See Hebrews 10:25)
- To pray without ceasing. Prayer is the realm where we strength our relationship with God, find His will and the grace to carry on, and draw strength to finish strong.
- To roll and continue with those who call upon God out of a pure heart whether in church or at home, in school or at your workplace.
- To give to the ministry of your pastor, the weak, and to missions
- To eat your bread with gladness and with singleness of heart. This is because what you eat is so important to your faith and spiritual life.
These are the seven-fold foundation to a great life, a higher and an abundant life. These are the foundation to a great family life, prosperous career/business life, a great and wonderful ministry life, school life etc.
