I came to exhort you today to fulfil all righteousness. This message will show you how you can fulfil your ministry by fulfilling all righteousness.
[Matthew 3:13-17 KJV] “Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Our Lord Jesus teaches by example that one of the greatest secrets to promotion and favour and blessing is to fulfil all righteousness. He came to John to be baptised and became subject to John’s grace and calling.
Many of us don’t go far because we grow wings too quickly. Many people sooner than later begin to carry their positions and titles around and as a result, miss their time and season.
[Romans 13:7-8 KJV] “Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.”
In the context of fulfilling all righteousness, there are certain dues that the Lord require of us to render:
- Tribute
- Custom
- Fear
- Honour
- Love
The scriptures instruct us to owe no man anything but love. If there is anything we ought to keep doing and may never do enough, it is loving. In the context of the text, love is the only dues you may never finish rendering.
When it comes to tributes, customs, fear, and honour, there is a ceiling we can all go but love may never be rendered fully. Before Christ, all men are equal but in reality, every man is distinctive in their own way.
Some have laboured to be distinctive and must be honoured as such; others have taken their calling for granted and maybe despised too.
Many destines have stagnated because people grow wings too quickly. I pray that you will liberate your destiny by honouring those to whom honour is due.
Every one of us must learn to Discern, Celebrate, and Reward the distinctive uniqueness or difference of a person. We must learn how to fulfil all righteousness in the name of Jesus Christ!
May you be empowered to discern, celebrate, and reward the distinctive uniqueness of people around you.
Stay blessed
