There are many different spiritual gifts that have been made available to the body of Christ. There are two types of spiritual gifts:
- Gifts that are exclusive to the Body of Christ and
- Gifts that can operate in any body whose spirit is inclined to God.
We are interesting in sharing on spiritual gifts that is given to accelerate and amplify your effort.
Gifts of the spirit: prophecy, dreams and visions
These are gifts of the spirit and may be operated in the life of anyone whose spirit is inclined to spirituality or the spirit of God. Both pagans and believers alike can operate this gift. Anybody can prophecy, dream and see visions.
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:” (Joel 2:28 KJV]
Spiritual gifts given to the church: gift of faith, gifts of healing, working of miracles, tongues and interpretation of tongues, discernment of spirits, prophesying, word of knowledge, and word of wisdom.
“Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.”
“ And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”
“For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy;”
“to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: but all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.” (1 Corinthians 12:2-11 KJV)
Gifts that differ according to the grace: prophecy, ministering, teaching, exhorting, giving, ruling, and shewing mercy
“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
“Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans 12:3-8 KJV)
Gifts that are given for the work of ministry: Apostle, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
“He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
“till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: that we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;”
“but speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:10-16 KJV)
