[Proverbs 18:16 KJV] “A man’s gift maketh room for him, And bringeth him before great men.“
The Bible teaches that a man’s gifts and graces makes room for him and bring him before great men. Whether you are aware or not, the gifts and graces in your life can make room for you in this life. I pray that your gifts and endowments shall bring you before great men.
There are many types of gifts but 5 key gifts that will help every man to excel and succeed are;
- Natural endowments or talent
- Manifold graces
- Acquired skills
- Spiritual gifts
- Generous and money gifts
- Proper gift of a person
1. Natural endowments:
These are graces and talents you were born with. These are naturally occurring and mostly passed down from parents to their offsprings; yet these gifts when properly harnessed and sharpened can bring you before kings and great men.
2. Manifold graces of God:
In 1 Peter 4:10, we understand that every man has recieved the manifold graces of God, with which he can serve the brethren. These are graces that you are given, which enhances your performance.
3. Spiritual gifts:
In 1 Corinthians 12:1, Apostle Paul enlightens us to understand that there are spiritual gifts which we can access and operate to the mutual profiting of all.
4. Acquired skills:
These are ability which have been acquired and developed. If one went to school to study Medicine, that is a skill he or she has acquired. These skills can bring him before kings and make room for him.
5. Generous or money gift (bribes, tips, and gifts):
Whether you like it or not a tip or bribe or money gift can bring you before great men. That is not what ideally should be, but it works sometimes. I don’t want to discuss the merits and demerits but I know that a man’s gifts can make room for him.
6. Proper gift:
In 1 Corinthians 7:7, Apostle Paul discuss another kind of gift, we call the proper gift of a man. What a man is cut out for! This gift can still bring you before kings and great men.
