Philippians 4:15-20 KJV — Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. [16] For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
[17] Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. [18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
[19] But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. [20] Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I believe as the Bible says where your treasure is, there your heart will be. One expectation God has of us is to give our substance to advance the kingdom, and one of the key benefits of giving to advance the kingdom is to keep you committed to the great commission.
In the text above, we see Apostle Paul lauding a church for their commitment to giving towards the kingdom. He stated emphatically that God is well pleased with such sacrifices. Giving is a sacrifice and God is well pleased with it. To promote the kingdom agenda and Christian charity is one of the key things we can do to show our direct involvement to carry out the great commission.
I pray that the Lord will empower you financially to sponsor kingdom business and Christian charity.
Strive to earn a giving rather than a living. Strive to sponsor events, programs, and give to charity. It is more blessed to give than to receive. Be willing to give. Give your tithes and offerings and financial support to the ministry.
- As you give and promote the great commission, may the Lord open heaven and pour you a blessing! Receive the blessings of the Lord that makes a man rich. May the Lord bless His church with resources to advance the kingdom.
- May the church grow and abound in this grace also! May we give to missions and charity! May the works of your hands be blessed! We have a responsibility to promote the kingdom agenda. Receive grace and blessings!
Money is one of the key inputs in advancing the kingdom. No matter how anointed a man is without money, there are certain heights he cannot attain. When we have shared with you spiritual things, it is only right that you share with us your material things. May you receive the grace to give faithful! May the Lord honour your commitment to giving!
