[Matthew 28:16-20 KJV] “Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
The mandate of the church is simple; we are commissioned to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature. We are commissioned to;
- Preach the gospel
- Teach the nations
- Minister to their needs
This is the time and now is the hour. The harvest cannot wait anymore. The time is here and we can do our best for the kingdom. Some can go to the foreign soils but others may anchor close to home just to hold the neighbor’s hands. Each of us can do the little that we can with all that God puts at our disposal, but everyone must do something.
[John 4:34-38 KJV] “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
“And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.”
The harvest is waiting; the fields are white and ready! Ready to be harvested! This is the time for us to;
- Gather
- Mobilise
- Deploy to Reach out to the world around us.
Let us gather to fellowship, to study, to pray and to be trained. This is the time to call one another together in one place for prayer. This is the time to fill the mountains and hills and chambers with the sound of crying men and women. This is the time when God is looking for men and women to stand in the gap and make up the hedge. This is the time that Zion must travail. We cannot sleep on our oars. We must “quit ourselves as men and fight” gallantly for our brethren.
The scriptures teaches that first of all, prayer and supplications and intercessions with thanksgiving should be made for all men and for people in authority. This is the first step towards bringing in the harvest for preservation. This is the time; this is our time. This is the time and season to arise and fight for the souls that are ready to.be harvested.
Let us draw the fighting men into the valley of decision where many are tarrying at birth. Let us preserve the harvest from decay. We cannot wait anymore. It’s time to gather, mobilise, and deploy resources for the outreach. This is what church is about. Do not allow the devil to blind and decieve you. We are the hope of this generation. All creature are subjected to bondage and are awaiting the manifestations of the sons of God.
[Romans 8:19-23 KJV] “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God”.
“For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body”.
The nations are waiting for us. The isles and mountains and valleys, the streets and alleys, the highways and the hedges, the hamlets and cottages; the cities and inner cities and peri-urbans. This is the time and season. To reach out and tell the world the news.
The Bible says that this gospel must be preached for a witness. This is the time.
[Matthew 24:14 KJV] “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
The Scriptures teaches in Acts that every revival began with gathering. They gathered;
- To pray
- To fellowship
- To study
- To give themselves first and then their resources for the work of missions.
The Book of Acts was written because they acted. Our books can be written when we act. The required actions is simple; let us gather to pray, fellowship, study, and to give both ourselves and resources to preach the gospel with boldness where Christ is not named.
[Acts 4:31-37 KJV] “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common”
“And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”
“And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
This is it. We can do no less. We must do what they did. They went to the highways and to the hedges. Nothing moves until you move. We must arise and move with the great news of God’s salvation plan for men and women.
In Acts 13 when they gathered, the Holy Ghost said ” Separate unto me Banabbas and Paul for the work I have called them to.” The Bible says and after they had fasted and prayed, they commissioned Banabbas and Paul for the work, with John Mark as their minister. What they did Banabbas and Paul do?
[Acts 13:4-6 KJV] “So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. And when they were at Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews: and they had also John to their minister. And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar–jesus:”
The gospel moved because they moved. The word spread because some men spread out it.
[Acts 13:13-14 KJV] “Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.”
They travelled and they preached. Can we do any less? No! We must also travel and preach. This is our time and this is our season. Let us arise and reachout to our world. Jesus is coming again! This gospel must be preached.
I love you; stay blessed.
