Go until God’s House is Filled

[Luke 14:16‭-‬24 KJV] “Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his Lord these things.

Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.

And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper”.

The banquet of life is ready, and the masses must hear the news. We must bring in the people and must spread the news that all those who will may come and dine. The kingdom of God is a banquet. Many have been invited but many more are in the streets and lanes and highways and hedges who must hear the news.

Someone must go and spread the word that whosoever will may come and dine with the king. There are many that are crying, hurting, and sobbing. We must step out and spread the word. We cannot make the harvest wait any longer. We must step in and preserve the souls.

There are three levels of reaching out. These are the three succinct levels of outreaching;

Reaching and follow up those who were bidden:

These are usually people in their comfort zone. They seem to have something to do and must be excused. They are usally in the middle to higher classes of society. These are people who can marry, buy oxens, and fields which need inspection.

Reaching out on the streets and lanes;

That is the community booming around the mission. Every mission is in a community that has streets and lanes, these are places we must reach out to always.

Reaching out on the highways and hedges: These are usaully the towns and country. There are people in the villages, cottages, and hamlets that must hear the gospel and the truth. We must reach them. The church must reach and bring them in. This is mission to far places, to cultures that are very different from what we are familiar with.

Beloved, the house must be full and we have been entrusted with the word and ministry of reconciliation. We cannot sleep anymore, We must preach the gospel. We must go and go and go that the house may be filled.
