[Deuteronomy 8:11-20 KJV] “Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; and when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;”
“then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;”
“who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end; and thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.”
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
“And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
The five simple keys to walk into this excellence are
1. Admit that you were created to live as God but sin has robbed us of the ability to rule in life per excellence:
“for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23 KJV)
2. Believe that by the finished work of Christ on the cross you can be redeemed and restored to function as God created you to:
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 KJV)
3. Confess with your mouth to salvation:
Salvation is activated by confession; by speaking, by saying so. The Bible says “let the redeemed of the LORD say so…” Until you speak, you may be deemed righteous; but salvation is activated by speaking.
“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: For his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy; And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, From the north, and from the south.” (Psalm 107:1-3 KJV)
“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:8-13 KJV)
4. Dedicate yourself to Christ.
Acts 2:42-47, suggest that you must live your life in total dedication to Christ. You must continue in the faith.
5. Engage with the truth
The Bible teaches that it is the doer of the word that is blessed and not the hearer. The word you do is the word that blesses. Many of God’s children are not blessed because they don’t engage with the truth. They don’t walk in the truth. The truth you practice is what blessed you.
Stay blessed
