Today, I came to exhort you to break up your fallow grounds and sow not among thorns, because that is the simple secret to prosperity and productivity.
“For thus saith the Lord to the men of Judah and Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the Lord , and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the defenced cities.” (Jeremiah 4:3-5 KJV)
Reference: Psalms 51
As we end into a season of thanksgiving and begin another season of sowing and reaping; I have a prophetic word from the Lord to exhort you to break up your fallow grounds. You will waste a whole season of sowing and reaping if you sow among thorns; the thorns of sin and carnality, resentment, doubt, fear, and selfishness.
God is calling on us to remove every unproductive part of our lives. He is calling us to circumcise the foreskins of our hearts. There are many things in our hearts that try to make us unproductive. The word of God tells us to cut and remove them. It is time to cut and purge.
We must and we will circumcise our hearts. We do not want the anger and fury of the Lord to overtake us. We must arise and take the bull by the horn. We must be willing to let go of every unproductive attitude and nature. Anything that can stand between us and productivity must be forced out, cut off and purged. There are many things in our lives that must give way for productivity. As we enter into a new season, we must be willing and prepared to walk unrestrained into the newness of productivity.
Break up your fallow grounds, don’t sow among thorns. This is the time and now is the hour. This is the season for some really productive stuff. You must sow and you must certainly reap, but don’t just sow, rather sow to reap. Seedtime and harvest go hand in hand. Sow with an expectation to reap.
I pray for you that anything stopping your productivity must give way! Our Psalm for meditation today is Psalm 51, it’s a psalm of David.
We are appealing to heaven for the forgiveness of sin and restoration to righteousness.
We pray that the Lord shall build the wall of our cities, churches, and families once more.
May the Lord restore unto us the joy of salvation, the anointing of His Spirit, and may He renew a right spirit within us.
Nothing can break up your fallow grounds and remove thorns as praying with fasting does. Fasting and prayer will uproot and demolish every thorn in your flesh and in your life.
As you wait and minister unto the Lord, may you receive restoration and change. May the Lord bless and keep you.
