Luke 8:4-5 KJV — “And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable: [5] A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.“
[11] “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. [12] Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.“
Whenever God wants to help a man the first thing He sends him is His word. God will always send you a messenger when He wants to save and help you. He sends His prophet with a word for you.
Without any iota of doubt, there are devils who specialize in devouring your prophetic word, to keep it from manifesting. The Lord teaches in the parable above that the devil comes to steal the word from the hearts of wayside hearers. Unfortunately, what many of us miss is the fact that the devil is interested in the word of God in your life. The devil wants to keep you from believing the word because he knows your salvation, healing, and deliverance depends on the word you believe.
Read Romans 10:13-17! The Bible says whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved; but how can they call on a man they have not believed. We know that people only believe when they have heard. The role of the word of God in your life cannot be down played. We all need the word of God that brings change and transformation!
This is the time to guard your word with all diligence! Don’t allow the devil to steal it from your heart. You will be able to keep the devil from stealing the word if you do these four (4) things:
Don’t allow anyone in your life, treat the word of God lightly
The fowls of the air eat the seeds that are trodden. When you sit in a seat of the scorners or walk in the counsel of the ungodly you will lose your word. The ungodly is ungodly! Whether you know them or not. I don’t see how you will walk in the counsel of the ungodly and still retain the word. Many of us lose the word because we go to the ungodly for answers and counsel. These ungodly, sinners and scorners are all around us. Some of them are friends, family, colleagues at work, sometimes other worshippers. Beware who counsels you.
Strive to understand the word of God
Study, meditate, and listen to the word again and again. It is only the word you believe that will work for you. Whenever the word of God comes to you try to understand exactly what God is saying. Many of the brethren that lose the word do so because they don’t understand it.
Guard the word as one who has found a treasure:
The word of God is a treasure; it turns men into giants and transformers. The word of God makes heroes out of zeros. This word can change many things for the better, guard it.
Arise and defend the word. Pray and rebuke any fowl of the air that is attempting to steal the word of God in your life; I protect my word with fire and curses! I rebuke any bird that attempts to steal my word in the name of Jesus Christ!
Stay blessed
