“And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.” Mark 11:17 KJV (Isaiah 56:7)
I want to exhort you to harness the power of prayer and the presence of God. Honestly, we are the only groups of worshipper who come to church and do everything except to catch fire or power. All other worshipper go to their shrines or temples in search of answers, power, protection, or enlightenment. Many of these religious folk worship in search of power or the supernatural. I want to encourage you to change the focus.
When we gather, let us hunger and seek for more of God. Let us focus on catching and maintaining the fire of God. We must come to draw fire from Him again. We must be hungry for fresh fire. We need both light and heat. We must draw daily in houses and in the temples. I believe whatever we do in church must focus on imparting some fresh fire to give both enlightenment and fire. We must strive to catch fire.
Everyman shall be salted with fire. Fire is the only means of seasoning salt; and this fire is birth in prayer. One way to have salt in your self is to stay prayerful and pray as though it all depends on prayer.
[1 Corinthians 4:20 KJV] “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”
“For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. (Mark 9:49-50 KJV)
Prayer defined
Pray is speaking to God; speaking into the air believing that God in heaven can hear and answer that which you have petitioned of Him.
What is the power of prayer?
Prayer must achieve things like:
- Glorify God
- Help us to depend on God
- Edify us
- Subdue the powers of darkness
- Prepare us to recieve from God
- Release the answers we desire of God.
Stay blessed!
