1 John 5:4-5 KJV – For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
We know that the whole world lies in wickedness, but whosoever is born of God overcomes this wicked world. You don’t need any special token or thing to overcome the world, you just have to be born of God. The Bible teaches that we overcome the world by our faith.
If there is anything that will help you to overcome the world, then you must take the following steps;
Believe that Jesus is the son of God
The scriptures are clear on this, that anyone who believes that Jesus is the son of God, overcomes the world. The first step to overcoming the world is to believe that Jesus is the son of God.
The second step is to grow your faith
Our victory that overcomes the world is our faith. We must therefore be committed to growing our faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, hence your faith will grow by hearing from God more.
Hold on to your faith even when the evidence looks contrary
Sometimes, the circumstances will challenge your faith but don’t change what you believe. Hold on to your faith. Remain strong and resolve to holding on to the word of God. Don’t be moved by what you see or hear; be inspired by the word of God.
May the Lord help us. May you soar above the storms of life! May you never fall prey to the circumstances of life! Soar! And soar higher!
