I want to exhort you on 3 things that will heal and transform the world. These 3 are: Love, spiritual gifts, and inspired utterances.

However, what we must focus on developing is the ability and skill to prophesy or speak by inspiration.

[1 Corinthians 14:1‭-‬6 KJV] “Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”

“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.”

“I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.”

“Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?”

Transform the world

If we want to heal and transform the world as God’s people then we must do the following;

1. We must love, and end the hate

We must all strive to love. We must “owe no man nothing but love“. We must feel indebted to love people. You cannot determine how people treat you, but you can decide to love as a child of God.

I have decided to love people but not to expect much from them. Sometimes, it hurt though; when you treat people so well, yet they repay you with trash and disrespect, but I have chosen to love.

I exhort you to do the same; as your contribution to heal and transform the world.

There are so many people walking around hurt and maimed and feeling very unloved. Let us determine to treat people with kindness.

2. We must desire spiritual gifts

Spiritual gifts heal and transform the world. There are more than 9 spiritual gifts that if the church harness and invest into everyday life, we can heal and transform the world.

The gifts of healings will heal the sick and infirmed, the word of wisdom will turn us into great strategists. Word of knowledge will make us great lawyers and investigators. Interpretation of tongues will make us multi-lingual. The gift of faith will make us great leaders, etc.

3. We must desire and strive to speak to instruct, and lift others

The gifts of the spirit will heal and transform the world; but above all, we must desire and strive to speak to lift and instruct others.

There are too many broken people around, speaking positively will heal and transform many. Decide to speak to heal and teach those you meet, and see what your world would be. From today speak with kindness and wisdom and see if your words would not transform lives.

I exhort you to desire and strive to prophesy; even though it is important to follow love and desire spiritual gifts, the most important gift of all, that grows a church or the body of Christ is prophesying.

If we want to be of value to the world around us; we must all strive to prophesy. Speaking the mind of God by both inspiration, by knowledge, by doctrine, and by revelation is one of the key ways to profit our hearers.

Transform the world

Our words can heal the world more than any other thing. We must strive to speak to inspire faith in the world.

The Bible teaches that we must all desire and strive to prophesy or speak by inspiration because;

  1. Prophesying edifies, exhorts, and comforts the church corporately.
  2. He that prophesies is greater than he that prays in an unknown tongue without interpreting.
  3. Praying in an unknown tongue edifies a person but prophesying edifies a church

If there is any singular decision to make today, it should be to desire and strive to prophesy. When we prophesy, we edify, exhort, and comfort the church.

I wrote a book some years back, “Influencing Your World with Light,” it will bless you a lot!

Stay blessed
