[Luke 8:11-15 KJV] “Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;”
“Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”
“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
[Matthew 13:18-23 KJV] “And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful”
[Mark 4:13-20 KJV] “And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience”.
Indeed we are determined to gather fruits unto life eternal. We will stop at nothing until we have gathered unto eternity. Many are however unfruitful because they allow certain things to choke the word. Six of such key things are;
- Lack of understanding
- Offenses
- Cares of this world
- Deceitfulness of riches
- Lust for other things
- Pleasures of this life
These things kill and destroy great men. You can win and bear much fruits. Nothing must stop you. Don’t let the devil lie to you. Wake up and fight to gather fruits unto life eternal. No man lights a candle and puts it under a basket; if God sends His word to us then He wants fruits. We will bear fruits and shine in our city.
