How do you take a hold of faith to win in warfare? There are simple steps to take hold of faith and do warfare. We have already said the 3 things you need to win in warfare are Prophesy, Faith, and Good conscience. How then do you take a hold of faith to win in warfare?
- Spend time in the word; listen, read, and soak in the word! Faith comes by hearing! What you keep hearing determines what you will believe. If you listen to discouraging things, your faith will be broken.
- Fill your mind and heart with the thoughts of the fulfilment of the prophetic words that are spoken over you. Believe the word, think on the word, and don’t be tired of doing it.
- Speak what you believe. That is how the Spirit of Faith is stirred. Abraham believed and he spoke; hence we also believe and we speak.
- Be guided by what you believe. Let your faith guide your actions and you will eat the fruits of your faith.
- Engage the word in prayer. Daniel understood by the books and he acted in prayer and fasting.
In Romans 10:16-17, we learnt that “faith comes by hearing…”
[Romans 10:16-17 KJV] “But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
1 Corinthians 15:1-2, teaches that faith will deliver when you keep the word in mind.
[1 Corinthians 15:1-2 KJV] “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.”
2 Corinthians teaches that “the spirit of faith will influence what you say.”
[2 Corinthians 4:13-14 KJV] “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.”
When your mind and heart is filled with what you believe; you don’t settle for less.
[Hebrews 11:9-10 KJV] “By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: for he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
Those holding on to faith engage the Word in prayer
[Daniel 9:1-4 KJV] “In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; in the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.”
“And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: and I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;”
Stay blessed
