[James 2:20-26 KJV] “But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?”
“And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
“Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.“
I want to share with you the secrets to advance by faith. People of faith must always be able to be to operate and get results above their potential. You can do and get more than what you are getting, by the force of faith which comes by hearing and hearing by the word. The Bible, however, teaches that faith without works is dead. Faith can, therefore, deliver results only if works are added. Both the righteous Abraham and the harlot Rehab need to add works to their faith to get results. Faith must always have works with it.
There are four things I do to keep my faith delivering results: I pray, I plan, I partner, and I execute with passion, might and wisdom everyday of my life.
Why pray every day?
I pray every day beacuse;
- Except the Lord builds the city, they labour in vain that build it
- We wrestle not against flesh and blood; we wrestle spiritual personalities which defy carnal weapons. (See 2 Corintians 10:3-4, Ephesians 6:10-18)
- There are certain things that comes not forth except by fasting and prayer.
- Prayer is the action that releases the goings you desire (See Mark 11;23-24)
- Pray is the force that sustains faith, my faith!
- I pray because I have no power of my own. There is more to life than meets the eye.
- There is an evil eye stalking me and there are people seeking my hurt without my knowledge.
Plan your actions, logistics, and publicity (advertising, marketing and sales) where applicable
Failing to plan is planning to fail! Planning saves you time and other resources.
- Set clear goals
- Enumerate and choose the best path to get to the set goal
- Develop little attainable steps to reach that goal
- Don’t bite too much at a time; there is so much you can do at a time.
Partner with others
Everyone one of us need others to achieve scary goals. Even demons know this truth. In Luke 11:23-27, we learn that when demons find a difficult task, they go partner with seven other powerful devils and attack the task. You need other people’s power. There are some things others do better than you. Learn to partner.
Habbakk 2:1-5 reveals that you can garner other people’s support and partnership when;
- You know your goal. You have a vision, and the vision is clear to you. You must wait on God till you know what He wants you to do.
- Cast the vision. Visions casting is a deep action to garner support and strike partners. Write the vision on tables plainly so that he that reads shall run with it. You must sell the vision to others.
- Show yourself friendly
- Deal with people righteously
Execute promptly and timely
There is a time for everything, and to every purpose there is a season. Execute with passion, might, and wisdom. Trust God and follow through with your plans. All you can do is all you can; and all you can do is enough.
