The anointing is the pouring upon of the Holy Spirit and power. The anointing invokes the presence, power, and the person of God upon a man. There are two types of anointing: 1. The upon Spirit and 2. the indwelling Spirit.
The upon Spirit is the one that empowers you for ministry and service; and the indwelling Spirit empowers you for living the victorious Christian life. You need both for maximum results and rulership. I pray that as you wait on God, you will recieve an anointing that empowers you to both serve and live a victorious life.
Why you must be anointed with the Holy Spirit?
What do you lose when you don’t have the anointing? 1. You are without significant help and comfort 2. Your infirmities will stop your prayers 3. You will not know all truth that matters 4. You cannot discern all spiritual things 5. You will not have power for witnessing; you recieve power to witness after the Holy Ghost is come upon you
What do you gain when you have the anointing?
1. The oil will cause your face to shine. 2. You will recieve power. 3. You gain spiritual understanding. 4. The anointing will quicken your mortal body. 5. The anointing will make you quick with understanding. 6. You will be galvanised against evil and wickedness.
How to be anionted:
1. Desire and hunger for the anointing. 2. Know the Holy Spirit, study to know Him. 3. Pray the Father to send you the Holy Spirit. 4. Wait until you are endued with power. 5. Fulfil all righteousness. 6. Be led by and fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
[Matthew 5:6 KJV] “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
[John 14:16-17 KJV] “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”
[Luke 11:13 KJV] “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
[Luke 24:49-53 KJV] “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.”
“And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen”

[Luke 4:1-2, 14-15 KJV] “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.”
“And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all”
I pray that as we wait on God, He will both anoint and fill us with the fullness of the Spirit!
