[Exodus 14:13-18 KJV] “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD , which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.”
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: but lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.”
“And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.”
“And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD , when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.”
It is one thing to be told to be still and hold your peace but it is a different level altogether to be still and hold your peace. Sometimes, it is so difficult to be still and hold your peace but it may be a little easier if you knew how to do it.
When the Lord says to hold your peace and be still. You can do so by;
1. Remaining instant in prayer:
Philippians 4:6 teaches us to be anxious for nothing; instead, we should pray and make our requests known to God. What is the one thing that is stealing your peace and joy and righteousness? This is the time to start praying about it. Drop the murmuring and complaining and begin to pray about all things.
2. Sit at the feet of the Lord to soak the word:
Luke 10:38-42 teaches the secret to be still. Mary chose the best by sitting at the feet of the Master. He will give you a word in season that will sustain you.
3. Stay with the script: keep doing what He told you to do:
God told Moses to command Israel to move forward into the Red Sea. Keep to the script.
4. Maintain your praise:
Don’t lose your joy. Paul and Silas prayed and praised. Remember, the devil wants you to lose your praise. He is happy when you lose your praise and begin to complain. May the Lord help you to maintain your praise and joy.
5 Tips to hold your peace while the Lord fights for you;
- Tip 1: Don’t panic, be still, “be careful for nothing”
- Tip 2: Remain instant in prayer.
- Tip 3: Sit at the feet of Jesus and soak in the word
- Tip 4: Stay with the script; keep doing what He asked you to do
- Tip 5: Keep your praise; don’t lose your smile
Be blessed!
Thank you for the message I received from you tonight. I am struggling with my walk in the lord jesus christ, I am struggling with addiction and because of it I am watching the destruction that it has caused in my life and because of it my absence in the life if my children. It can be very discouraging at times well actually most of the time, when I sit and realize how much pain I have caused my children and the people that love me and I don’t know how to make this right anymore. Please keep me in your prayers that I defeat the enemy and that the lord brings the right people into my life so that I am not fighting this battle alone. Thank you and may god bless you.
