[2 Peter 1:5-8 KJV] “And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.“
There is one thing to break barrenness but it is another level alltogether to be fruitful. Apostle Peter is teaching that you do have to do much to break the scourge of barrenness. In fact, if you don’t want to be barren and unfruitful then you just have to cultivate eight things. God wants us to be fruitful in our knowledge of Christ.
Apostle Peter teaches clearly that there are things that will keep you from being barren and fruitful in the knowledge of Christ. If you don’t want to be barren or unfruitful in your knowledge of Christ then giving all diligence, add the following to your faith;
- Virtue
- Knowledge
- Temperance
- Patience
- Godliness
- Brotherly kindness
- Charity
Faith is the first step to deal with spiritual barrenness. After having faith, the Bible teaches that if these things are in us and also abound, when you have more of each of these in us, we will not be barren nor unfruitful in your knowledge of Christ. The more you lack these things, the more barren you are. You can heal all forms of barrenness that pertains to the knowledge of Christ.
When these things are in you, you will come out from the horrible pit of barrenness and unfruitfulness. May these things heal you from barrenness and unfruitfulness. May you not know dryness. Your fortunes will change and improve.
Stay blessed
