[ACTS 14:3, 8-10 AMP] “So Paul and Barnabas stayed for a long time, speaking boldly and confidently for the Lord, who continued to testify to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders (attesting miracles) be done by them. Now at Lystra a man sat who was unable to use his feet, for he was crippled from birth and had never walked. This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, and Paul looked intently at him and saw that he had faith to be healed, and said with a loud voice, “Stand up on your feet.” And he jumped up and began to walk’.
We have learnt that signs must follow us because we have believed the gospel. We are therefore marked to command signs; casting out devils, speaking with new tongues, discernment of spirits, immunity to deadly poison, and laying hands on the sick. These are the signs that accompany faith and those who have believed.
How then can every one of us manifest these signs on a daily basis? In the Bible, the Gospels and the Book of Acts outline five simple steps by which signs are manifested;
- Prepare
- Preach the Gospel
- Discern the reality
- Declare your faith with authority
- Allow the Holy Ghost to move
It is important to note that Apostle Paul, raised the cripple at Lystra because he had prepared in Antioch. In Acts 13, Paul and Barnabas were part of the prophets and teachers who waited on God. They prayed and fasted before coming to Lystra. We must understand that we carry in our human bodies the treasures of the glory of God that must be released and activated for signs and wonders. This can be done by constantly hearing the word of God, praying, and fellowshipping. These are the secrets to activate the power and glory of God resident in us.

Then also, in the text above, it is clear that they preached and declared the goodness of the Lord. They preached and taught for faith. They preached until the people believed.
Then Apostle Paul discerned that the lame man had faith to be healed. It was at this point that he made the declaration. You must be sharp with discernment. One day, I joined a service and met a team of ministers casting out devils from a young lady. I immediately sensed the spirit of death and I immediately knew that she was actually dying and not manifesting demons. I went close and began to rebuke the spirits of death. Apparently, she was reacting to an injection and some harsh medication which she had received at a nearby clinic even though she had eaten nothing. I had to get her back to the clinic to get some intravenous infusion. You must develop your ability to discern and declare.
Finally, after declaration, allow the Holy Spirit to have His way. Let Him have His way. You must pray and sing that the Spirit of God would have His way and bring the change that you are seeking.
You are set to manifest signs! Prepare through hearing, praying and fellowshipping; preach and testify of God’s goodness; discern the situation and declare your faith with authority, then allow the Holy Spirit to have His way.
We are for a sign and a wonder to this generation. It is time to mount up with wings and maintain your altitude.
Be blessed, love you!
