I believe that God wants to take each of us from a measure to overflow. He wants to lift you from the realm of a measure of faith to great faith. God wants to take you from scratching with the chicken to soaring with the eagles.
This is the time for us to make the choices and decisions that will cause us to run, fly, soar, and overflow. One of such choices is to learn the secret of thanksgiving.
[Luke 17:12-19 KJV] “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”
“And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.”
“And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.”
“And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.”
In our passage above, we learn about ten lepers who sought mercy from the Lord. The Lord had mercy on them and cleansed them by the word of His mouth, but only one was truly cleansed and restored completely.
Many of us wonder why our lives are in a roller-coaster motion. We wonder why today we are up and tomorrow, we are back down. The reason is simple; many of us don’t return to give God all the praise.
Ingratitude and despising the grace that brought you this far is the main reason many of us are not seeing progressive prosperity and finesse.
Ten lepers were cleansed, but only one came to say thank you and to give all the glory to God. That man was a Samaritan, the other nine were jews. They felt entitled; the Samaritan was grateful because he knew it was by grace.
A feeling of entitlement will make you ungrateful. You will not think well when you think you deserved what you have. You will be full of thankfulness when you know that it has been by grace.
I believe that where you are is just the beginning of all that God wants to do. He wants to take you from a measure to overflow. He is taking us to the promised land where we will not eat our bread in scarcity. Just walk in the revelation of God.
When the one leper returned to say thank you; the Lord made him whole. God wants to move each of us from a measure of living to an overflowing life. You must overflow with life and blessing. You will not forever be scratching.
[Leviticus 26:3-5 KJV] “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.”
May the Lord cause you to overflow as you prepare to bring your Thanksgiving to the Lord. May your acts of gratitude open for you a great door of grace and opportunity. You will not catch anymore. You will fly, soar, and overflow.
Stay blessed, I love you
