Ephesians 6:18 KJV — praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
One of the key weapons to overcome the wiles of the enemy is to pray always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit; and watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. This is one of the key things that gives you an urge over demonic spirits and powers. We must pray always without ceasing. Remember, the devil does not want you to pray as you ought to.
I have no doubt that many of us want to pray consistently but are unable because we don’t even know how to start and what to say. This exhortation is prepared to equip and enable you to pray for at least 15 minutes daily or in multiples of 15 minutes. You can pray for twelve minutes everyday, by simply using this format; and I believe the transformation that will occur will be great.
- Start your prayer time by fixing your mind and thoughts on the goodness and greatness of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ went into a solitary place to pray. He didn’t just go there because He wanted to avoid interruption but also to psyche His mind and spirit to be in tune with God. Spend a minute or two thinking about the goodness and promises of God. God keeps Him in perfect peace whose mind stays on Him. The man that meditates on the word day and night is like a tree by the side of a river.
- Spend the next two minutes hallowing the name of the Lord. Enter into a mode of worship and singing. Worship and adore the Lord to strengthen the relationship you have with Him.
- Spend the next two minutes speaking to God about kingdom advancement, church growth, salvation of the lost, praying for family and friends to be saved. Pray that the will of God shall be done in your life, family, ministry and city.
- Spend the next two minutes praying for daily provision and supplies. Pray for your business, career, finances and supply. Pray that God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. Pray that God will give you, your daily bread. May you never lack rent, clothing, and food.
- Spend the next two minutes praying for your relationships. Pray and release those who have trespassed against you. Avoid drama and bear no grudge. Pray that God will forgive and restore you. Sin is a bitch; sweet and pleasurable until it begins to bite. Pray that God will forgive and restore you. Ask God to give you a forgiving heart. Pray for others. Pray for those who despitefully use you. Pray for those who didn’t treat you. Your prayer will make a difference.
- Spend the next two minutes praying for deliverance from evil and leading of the Spirit from temptations. Many people are in jail and prison today because of temptation. Their day was going well until someone provoked them. Their day was going well until they were tempted. May the Lord lead each of us away from temptations. Pray and bind demonic spirits assigned to trouble and frustrate you. Pray and rebuke principalities and powers! Pray and pray intensely! You will not fall into temptation nor be overtaken by evil!
- Spend the next few moments acknowledging that God owns the kingdom, the power and the glory. All things were made by Him, and all things belong to Him. Adore and extol Him. Spend this time and meditate on God’s authority in the earth.
You may choose to interspace the prayer points with singing and worship. May you have greater encounters with God!
