I want to speak to you today about how to stand against the wiles of the devil
[Ephesians 6:10-12 KJV] “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”.
We live in a fallen world and there is so much deception all around us. The enemy, though wiles and con, is drawing many into the pit of Hell. Many are being deceived and hell has enlarged its mouth. I have no doubt that you want to escape the retribution and the fire of hell.
Wiles are cons, scams, deceptions, or subtle manipulations; and the devil has many of them. In these last days, he uses these tools as a bait to ground many ministers and ministries; but I pray for you; you shall escape every trap.
Unfortunately, Hell has enlarged its mouth, and many are marching unrestrained into its pit. Many pulpits are famished and devoid of truth. The devil has taken over many pulpits and control the preachers that stand in there like puppets. The masses will die and perish in hell if we do nothing about it. As we wait on God today, I recommend that you prepare yourself to stand against the wiles of darkness.
You must stand up for Jesus and fight the devil and his deception. We must arise and fight until every foe is vanquished. In the garden of Eden, the old serpent deceived our fit mother into eating just a fruit. Today, the same beast is in this world; in our churches, in our homes, on our screens, and in our schools, deceiving many. We must be committed to preach and teach the truth so that the church will be prepared to stand against the deceptions of the devil.
The simple steps to be able to equip and help the church and humanity at large to stand against the wiles of the devil, which he is trying to marshall against you is to:
1. Be strong in the Lord;
To be strong in the Lord is to deepen in your convictions. To be strong in the Lord is to find reason to keep believing and following the Lord.
2. Be strong in the power of His might;
You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you. You will receive power when you receive and fellowship with the Holy Ghost. The more you stay in His presence the more he empowers you. The Holy Spirit is given for our teaching, direction, and empowerment. He is the Spirit of Power and Might. When He comes in as a mighty rushing wind, he comes to empower and to strengthen.
3. Put on the whole armour of God;
We are to put on the whole armour of God. We are to be fully dressed for combat. God will not dress you; you must dress up yourself!. You must decide to believe, to speak the truth, to do what is right, to preach the gospel, to confess Christ, to read the word of God. Most of these things are your decisions. God will not do them for you, but He will bless you when you do it.
4. Watch and pray with all perseverance for all the saints and ministers;
Never stop praying, never stop watching. Pray and pray and pray and pray; watch and watch and watch and watch! We need to pray to overcome the devil. As we wait on God, let us keep praying. Find time to pray and pray. Our weapons are mighty through God. Prayer is a weapon.
Today, mark’s the beginning of over journey to overcome evil. Today marks the beginning of standing against the wiles of the devil. You are not alone, the devil is trying to deceive many. When he succeeds in deceiving you, he begins to use you to deceive others. This is the time and season when you must win. Arise and act now.
Be blessed, I love you!
