I want to exhort you with the piece of scripture that assures us that you shall not want. I have no doubt whatsoever in my mind that we shall not want, at least not in this Year of Increase.
When the Bible says you shall not want, it means you shall not want money, you shall not want peace, joy, health, strength, family or any good thing. You shall not know lack. The Lord shall be with you. You will walk in increase and abundance.
There are five reasons I am persuaded that you will not lack.
- You have made the Lord your shepherd, See Psalm 23. When the Lord is your shepherd, you shall not lack. He shall make you lie down in green pastures, He will lead you in paths of righteousness besides still waters. He shall restore your soul and sustain you with His rod and staff.
- You have maintained your giving to missions. Philippians 4:18-19 teaches that because you have maintained your giving to missions and the church, “God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory.”
- You have been working hard. Poverty attacks the lazy, not the diligent. Your hard work and grinding will pay off.
- You honour the Lord with your substance. That is why “your barns shall be filled with plenty.” That is why your “vats shall overflow with wine”.
Stay blessed
