“And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (43) And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. (44) And all that believed were together, and had all things common; (45) And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.” (Acts 2:42-45 KJV)
Our commitment as a church to preach the gospel around the world through outreach, church planting, print, and electronic media requires four main focal points;
- Gathering
- Prayer
- Doctrine
- Giving
These are the four pillars on which our church fellowship must be built. As we gather, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us. He comes to strengthen and direct us in God’s purpose. These are four simple pillars of a greater impact on life. This was the secret of the early church.
We must try to join the fellowship of the brethren (Hebrews 10:25). We can make greater impact when we learn to join the fellowship. This is how we can make it to the end.
May the Lord help us to see these steps as supernatural. These are the secrets of the early. These are the four keys that will take us far. The church cannot advance if we underestimate any of these 4 pillars; our weekly gathering, the apostolic doctrines, prayer, and our giving. Even though the church does not depend on our giving, our lives depend on it.
Don’t let anything come between you and prayer, doctrine, gathering or giving. These are the things that keep us going. This is how God builds His church and prepare us for greater impact.
