[Luke 2:51-52 KJV] “And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”

I believe we have stepped into the season of increase and I desire that we increase for impact. We want to make an impact on the city and the generations of men that we come into contact with. If we want to make an impact on this city and our generation, there are four areas we must increase in:
- Focus
- Subjection
- Wisdom and stature
- Favour with God and men
No one can increase and make an impact beyond the extent of increase that takes place in him.

Four key changes must take place in you if you want to make an impact on this city and generation. The Bible teaches us that Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith was able to make an impact because He knew what He must be about. Focus on purpose, subjection, wisdom and stature, and favour are very important ingredients for impact. These are the factors that pushed the Lord and His ministry forward! These are the areas, we must strive to build if we want to increase and make an impact.
Remember that there is so much around you which is trying to steal your focus on purpose. There is so much that the devil and the world are throwing at you in a digital age. There is so much information bombarding you online, offline, inter-line; your greatest power in this age is focus. To know what you are about and to focus on that. Jesus Christ knew what business he was supposed to be about. Do you know what you must do and when?
One thing about increase and promotion is a fool is destroyed by his or her promotion. The promotion of a fool is his destruction. Many destinies have been destroyed because they did not learn how to remain subjected and humble at the onset of promotion and increase. Pride comes before a fall, and hence humility is important for promotion. Our Lord Jesus, as a teenager, went with His parents and was subject to them.
Wisdom, stature, and grace are three very important things. Wisdom is the principal thing, size is impressive, but grace will compensate for all that you don’t have.
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:17-18 KJV
We must, therefore, strive to increase in focus, subjection, wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. This will take prayer, faith, and studying.
