[Luke 18:1 KJV] “And he spake a parable unto them to this end , that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”
In my quiet, I heard a loud voice saying “Go and tell my people to pray until something happens.”
This is, therefore, not just another book but a prophetic message of the people of this generation. God wants you to write and pray until something happens because God answers prayers. This is one of the major landmark teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ on prayer and how to get answers from God.
Luke 18 teaches that men ought to always pray, and never get tired of praying because God answers prayers but He does in his own time and His way. This is the manifestation of the sovereign will of God. We must pray but God will answer as and when He deems fit. God is sovereign; He reigns and none rules Him. He decides and none can teach Him what to do.
There is, therefore, the need to remain instant and constant in prayer; more especially to pray until something happens. In Luke 18 we learn that men ought to always pray because we have nowhere else to turn to. You have no option but to come to the judge, whether you trust Him or not.
The truth is until you get to a point where you know that you have nowhere to turn to but to God; you are not ready to secure answers and solutions by prayer. The widow kept coming to the unjust Judge because she knew he was the only person who could give her to get justice.
When you come to that place where you know none can help but God, you will pray without ceasing. Many people don’t pray because they have something else they think they can turn to. When you know there is nowhere else to turn to, you will stay instant in prayer.
I have come to that place in life where I know that I know that none can help if God does not help me. God is that great helper when all other helpers fail.
When people ask me “why are you still praying?” I tell them “because nothing has happened.” When they say “for how long will you keep praying?” I say “I will pray until something happens.”
- Pray as at a dead end
- Pray in faith
- Pray earnestly
- Pray unwaveringly
- Pray with humility and not in self-righteousness
- Pray always and never be weary of praying.
Stay blessed
