Many years ago, according to Joshua 7, the nation of Israel suffered a massive loss in battle with a small city call Ai. This was after they had conquered, the great Jericho.
The commander and leader of the troops of God was baffled because nothing could explain the loss they had just suffered as a nation. This great leader, Joshua did the unusual but the most intelligent thing, pray. After the defeat, he went into prayer and God showed him what was hidden at the root of the defeats.
This singular act of Joshua forms the basis of our exhortation today. That is our Seed for Today. This is the seed we have for sowing today.
The captain Joshua went into deep prayer and spent the night on his face, then in the deep of the night, God spoke to him.
Many of us are suffering so many things and we just try to deal with these things superficially; but it is important to announce to you that there are mostly certain roots and causes that underlines many of the defeats and setback we suffer in life.
Israel fled before Ai because of an invisible barrier. As we spend quality time before God, we have a promise from His word that He will show us great and mighty things that are hidden.
As we spend this morning praying, may the almighty God unveil and uncover hidden roots behind our challenges. From today, you can escape evil as you spend the next 21 minutes praying.
God will show you the hidden things and you can deal decisively with them.

Though there might be more reasons to the incessant losses, failure, and suffering than meet the eye, God is more than willing to reveal and uncover them to us if and only if we will seek His face in prayer.
Dear God uncover the roots of all the things I suffer, guide, and give me the grace to deal with it.

Yes prayer, the surest way of dealing with invisible roots. i will commit to praying so that God would reveal to me the barriers and that i might deal with them. most of the time, the devil will make feel like you are suffering already or you deal with it with your strength so why the need to pray but i have just realized that he uses that and a distraction so that you will not be able to pray and not deal with the invisible barriers.
