Ephesians 2:8-10 KJV — For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
It is a great thing to serve the Lord; because that is what we are saved to do. The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith to walk in the good works prepared before the foundations of the earth. We (the new creation) are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works.
On that beautiful dawn after rapture, we are all going to stand before Christ at the Bema Seat judgement to be judged. We will all have to answer for what we did while on earth. This is not a judgement for condemnation or justification; it is the moment of accountability. It is the moment when your rewards and crown and glory will be determined! This is the moment, when our work will be tried with fire. This is the season when the rest of the world will be going through the great tribulation.
What account will you give of yourself. This is when you have to answer to the Lord all that you did with the resources and blessings that were put at your disposal. I must admit that we are all created to walk in the good works not bad works. Remember that after salvation, two things that matter are the commitment to;
- Walk in good quality works: We must all have works to present to Christ as to how we lived while on earth after salvation. The Bible says whatever we have done shall be revealed whether good or bad.
- Fight and stay loyal even if it means losing your life: They overcame the enemy because they did not love their lives even into death. We must be committed to finish the race and fight the good fight!
It is a great thing to serve the Lord! Let us serve and offer quality works. Let us fight the good fight of faith with grace and win!
