[Luke 2:1-7 KJV] “And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. [2] (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) [3] And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city”.
[4] “And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) [5] To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. [6] And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. [7] And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn”.
I believe that the very story of Christmas and the birth of Christ tells a beautiful account of how a ray of hope flickers in the sky. The story of the birth of Christ and how things were orchestrated by Heaven to fulfill all prophesies of the Bible reveals that God is indeed watching over His word to perform it.
I have no idea of what you are going through, but I know for sure that if you are called according to the purpose of God, and you are walking with Him, then everything is set up to unfold as it’s been foretold. The king issued a decree that all his citizens should be taxed, but God was seizing the moment to get Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to fulfill a prophesy. Whatever is happening now is happening so that God can get each of us to the place where His word will be fulfilled.
I say a pray for you today, that you shall walk in the newness of life. You shall walk with hope and put your trust in God. It is my desire that you shall not allow the enemy to still your joy. I pray that you shall walk in the prophesy and in the direction of God. I pray that you shall eventually stumble into the peophetic place and find God doing His new work in you.
Sometimes, what we are going through is not pleasant or the best, but it is part of a divine work of God. Don’t let the momentary inconvenience rob you of the possibilities of tomorrow. May you agree with God and seize the moments! Sign up now and forge forward through the thick and thin. And sooner than later, your star will arise and angels will begin to sing of the birth of your miracle. Keep believing! Keep trusting! Keep pushing! Keep hoping. Your day and moment is coming.
When Joseph and Mary set off to go to be taxed, they did not know that God was working out His perfect plan. Listen! None of us shall fail, if we decide to follow as He leads. His thoughts are far higher than ours, keep trusting and see Him work the miracle.
