“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, And he addeth no sorrow with it.” – Proverbs 10:22 KJV
I wish to admonish that it is the blessing of the Lord that makes life rich; not the abundance of things. There is, in fact, nothing a person can do to improve upon the life the blessing of the Lord bestows.
Beware of covetousness and wanting what others have. Beware of an insatiable desire for more and more without pause. The quality of life doesn’t depend on how much you have but on how blessed and content you are.
“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” – Luke 12:15 KJV
So, who is a blessed person?
Blessed is the one whose sins are forgiven.
“Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.” – Romans 4:8 KJV
“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, Whose sin is covered.” – Psalm 32:1 KJV
Blessed is the one who does not take offense in Christ.
“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” – Luke 7:23 KJV
Hope deferred can make the heart sick; blessed are those who keep trusting and following even when their hopes are deferred.
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.
“O LORD of hosts, Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” – Psalm 84:12 KJV
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” – Jeremiah 17:7 KJV
Blessed is the one who fears the Lord.
“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; That walketh in his ways.” – Psalm 128:1 KJV
Most often, some of the things we call blessings are the results of blessings and their fruits. Psalm 128 enumerates some of the fruits that blessings bring.
Stay blessed!
