Destiny doesn’t happen by accident, it must be intentionally pursued. It is not handed to any man on a silver platter nor to men lying on a bed of feathers; if we really want it, we must go for it, press for it, and fight for it. It’s time to take it by force.
[1 Timothy 6:12 KJV] “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”.

Apostle Paul is exhorting us to fight the good fight of faith. What is this good fight of faith and how is it fought? The good fight of faith is pursuing what God has said until it manifests.
Our classic example of a man who fought the good fight of faith is Caleb.
1. Caleb followed the Lord with a different spirit and heart:
In number 14, we read about how the Lord testified of Caleb that he had a different spirit. He followed the Lord and the servant of the Lord with a different heart. When the spies that Moses sent brought their report, Caleb was one of the men who speak by faith and not by sight (See Numbers 14:1-10).
Hence the Lord made him a promise. Caleb was a man of faith who was ready to fight and win by faith.
[Numbers 14:22-24 KJV] “Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; [23] Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: [24] But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it”.
Men who fight the good fight of faith follow the servant of God with a different heart and with a different spirit. They are loyal followers.
2. Caleb was ready to war only by the prophecy that had gone ahead of him:
Caleb did not go to Joshua out of wishful thinking; he stepped out to ask for the land by the prophetic word spoken by Moses.
Many people fail because they run after things through wishful thinking. They run because everyone is running. They want to marry because everyone is marrying, but Caleb was ready to go and fight because Moses said he will possess a land 45 years earlier when he, Caleb, was 40 years old.
The good fight of faith is one that is according to prophecy. Caleb was ready to fight by the word, by prophecy, and by the declaration of faith.
3. Caleb was ready to step out and take the mountain:
He was prepared and ready. He was prepared to fight and take the mountain. He knew that destiny deliver to those who are ready to fight for it. He was ready and prepared to fight for even the mountain inhabited by the Anaks and Anakims.
He weighed his strength.
He spoke to the authority set over him, although they once fought together as colleagues, he obtained permission from Joshua.
He had a strategy; a workable strategy, to pursue.
Caleb was ready and prepared to step out and possess the mountains. We must be ready to take our mountain and take it now.
4. Caleb fought until he possessed the mountain:
He respected and used time and principles wisely, he made the right decisions and maintained his focus. Listen, so many worthwhile things take time, principles, decisions, and focus. You must be ready to mix these in the right proportions in order to win.
Benediction
I pray for you that in the coming days you will arise to take a hold of the prophetic word and begin to war. We are here now and we must take our mountains now. This is the time and we can’t wait anymore.
Let us hit the roads, the highways, and hedges, the country and city, the lanes and streets and do the needful. This is the time to preach and take hold of destiny. Destiny will not happen by accident, we must intentionally pursue it. This is the time, arise and fight.
Be blessed; I love you!
