We have just a few days left to step out of 2019, and into 2020 yet it’s too early to call it a day. I believe the God of the eleventh-hour miracle will show up and favour those who trust Him.
[Luke 5:1-11 KJV] “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, [2] And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. [3] And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship”.
[4] “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught”.
[5] “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. [6] And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. [7] And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink”.
[8] “When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord. [9] For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: [10] And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon”.
“And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. [11] And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him”.
We have just read the story of how Peter and his partners caught a draught though they had folded up for the day. They were done and washing their nets. They had worked all night and caught nothing; just like you may have worked all day, all week, all month, all year, all decade, and caught nothing. There may be nothing to show for your labour and effort but it is too early to call it a day.
If you lent your boat to the Lord, if you have served the kingdom in any way, no matter how small, I came to announce that it’s too early to call it a day. The Lord is about to work a work in your life to bring the change and eleventh-hour miracle you are believing for. He is about to do a new thing and now He is telling you about it by this message. I can hear the Spirit speaking about the new thing God is about to do.
Sometimes, you despair when you think about how much you have put into life and how little you have gotten back; but I want you to know that God has you on His mind. You may have gotten so little out of life after putting in great effort but the set time to be favoured is now. The Lord is speaking and prophetically directing as to how you can catch a draught of fishes.
It is too early to call it a day. You may think it is all over but Jesus Christ is just about to begin with you. People might think it’s all over with you but Jesus Christ is just about to begin with you. It is just the beginning of that great season and I know you will not miss it. Something new is about to begin in your life.
Just remember to do the following;
1. Sow your seed:
Peter encountered this last-minute abundance because he sowed a seed into the kingdom. He gave his boat to the Lord. He lent his space to the kingdom builders. The Lord gave him a special word after he preached to the people from Peter’s boat. He gave to the Lord. As we sow our seed we must also endeavour to get the word. There is a word the Lord is giving specifically to you. A personal word, you need to hear.
2. Get the Word:
The Lord told Peter to launch into the deep. You must be ready to believe and do as the word says. He said, “Launch into the deep for a draught.” The miracle is always connected to the word. Get the podcast! Listen daily! Listen to hear that word for you! The miracle and anointing is in the word. Don’t call it a day. It is too early to call it a day. There is a new word for you that is about to open a whole new chapter in your life. There is a new chapter that the Lord wants to open. Don’t let the futile toil of the previous night make you resign. You are about to enclose a draught. All you need is to pay attention to what the word is saying to you.
3. Believe the word and act on it:
Peter had every reason to take the word for granted. The word sounded like a tickle in the ear. However, he did the most profound thing. He said, “we have toiled all night and caught nothing; but at thy word, we shall launch into the deep.” He was very emphatic that he was going to give it a shot because the Lord is the one speaking. Upon what are you acting? Who is motivating you? Why have you changed your mind? There is a miracle awaiting you as you and your team obey the word.
I have heard the voice of the Lord saying to me: Pray, Plan, Prepare, Go to the city, Find meeting places, and Hold meetings. This is His word to me. My breakthrough is in obeying that word. I must arise and act fast!
4. Partner with others to preserve the gains:
Listen! God will always call one man but it takes a team of people who have callings that fit into the vision. These men come to lift the vision. When the net enclosed the draught, Peter beckoned his friends from the other ships to come and help him. We need to rally around the flag and lift the banner of the Lord high. I called you to come and preserve the gain, not to scatter it. You are here to work to lift the church and not to fight it. I pray that you will not fight the growth.
5. Prove your love by forsaking all to follow the Lord:
When the gain comes, remember not to trust in the success and wealth, and riches; but in the Lord who gave you the power to make wealth. Many of us leave following the Lord to follow the things He has given us. When you hit the breakthrough, forsake all and follow the Lord. Jesus Christ is not asking for much, He is only asking you to follow Him. Peter forsook all and followed the Lord.
You will not miss your day. It is too early to call it a day. The Lord is up to something, we may have nothing much to show for the 25 years of doing ministry but at His word, we will give it another shot. We will pray, plan, prepare, go to the city, find meeting places and hold meetings. We will do it again at His word.
Be blessed, I love you!

Prayer:
Father, thank You for this word. Now, I believe it is too early to call it a day. Begin Your new work in me by sending your word. Amen!.
