Hebrews 9:27–28 (KJV) — “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Life is not endless, and history is not accidental. Every breath we take is moving us closer to an appointed moment, an encounter with eternity. The question is not if Jesus is coming again, but are we ready when He does?
The writer of Hebrews reminds us of two unchangeable truths: death is appointed to every person, and judgment follows. But in the midst of this sobering reality shines the hope of the gospel, Christ was offered once, fully and finally, to bear the sins of many. His first coming dealt with sin on the cross. His second coming will not be to suffer again, but to bring complete salvation to those who are watching, waiting, and living for Him. This promise is not meant to create fear, but holy expectation.
Jesus is coming again, not as a suffering Savior, but as a victorious King. This truth calls us to live with purpose, purity, and urgency. Let your life reflect your hope. Do not be distracted by temporary pleasures or weighed down by compromise. Fix your eyes on Christ, walk in obedience, and hold fast to faith. Every act of righteousness, every moment of faithfulness, and every soul won for the Kingdom matters in light of His return.
