Today, I want to share with you 7 habits of Success.
[Ecclesiastes 9:10-12 KJV] “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”
“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”
“For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.”
In the text above, one fact stands out clearly that we shall all die and go to the
grave. This is one fact that none of us should ever forget.
The truth is, as it is appointed unto man once to die and face judgment, so also shall Jesus appear a second time to them that look for His second coming. I believe in eternity, God is real and judgment is real. Let each of us be careful about what we do here and now.
Whether you prepare or not, whether you are ready or not, time is ticking and we are all approaching the grave. We will all fall asleep and appear before the judgment seat of Christ.
We shall all appear before the great throne to be judged. We will have to answer before the great king for what we did with our lives, prepare your life. Believe on Jesus Christ and be saved. We shall all die but don’t die with the music still in you; unearth it.
I have already taught that five things motivate choices, manners, decisions, and perspectives. These are our need for sustenance, shelter, companionship, success, and recognition. We all want to survive, be safe, belong, succeed, and be appreciated. We need these things to live and be happy.
I, therefore, want to exhort you to keep these 7 success habits. They will guarantee you these five needs.
What are these success habits?
I must say that there is a difference between routines and habits; but whichever way you look at it, do these 7 things daily.
1. Start your day with prayer:
Pray Matthew 6:9-13 every morning.
2. Deliver value for value received:
Determine not to eat any man’s bread for nothing. You will deliver value for all value received. Determine to work with integrity. Never make payment for work you have not done. Determine to let every client leave fully satisfied.
3. Set goals to guide you:
Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint. Goals guide and direct effort intelligently.
4. Prepare yourself:
Train your mind, sharpen your skills, and keep fit
5. Discipline yourself:
Beat your body under. Don’t allow your body to get out of control. Manage your emotions and desires.
6. Manage your time:
Deal with time wasters. Time is life and time is money. Don’t allow anything to waste your life and time.
7. Take risk, never quit, just find a way to win:
There is always a way out of everything, never say never. Never say it cannot be done. Just say you are yet to find a way to fix it. Never quit, just find a way to do it.
How are habits formed?
According to a 2009 study, it may take 18 to 254 days for you to form a new habit. It may take an average of 66 days for a behaviour to become automatic. Habits are, however, formed through learning and repetition.
It may take each of us about a year before we can do these 7 things with ease. Let these truths guide you. You may not remember everything always, I will guide you but we can make it together.
Indeed, the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the strong. We must be ready when the right time comes and the right opportunity shows up. It is time and chance that happens to all men. Let us get ready!
You can succeed!
You can make it. You can succeed. You can excel. Do whatever your hands have found to do with all of your might. Just start your day with prayer. Give value for value you receive, don’t cheat any man. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the thief. Set goals and let them guide you. Prepare and discipline yourself for the purpose. Manage your time, take risks, never say never, just find a way of doing it.
I love you
