[Luke 11:13 KJV]“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”
We have already learned that one of the steps towards the anointing is asking the Father for the Holy. Praying is a step towards the anointing. Asking for the anointing directly from the Father. Today we want to exhort ourselves and pray earnestly for the anointing. God is willing and ready to anoint us with His Spirit and power.
This is the time to enter into prayer and ask earnestly for the anointing. When we lift our voices on prayer, His unction will be poured upon us. When the early church prayed in Acts 4, the Holy Spirit was given in return. When we pray, He will pour His anointing upon us. He will give us His Holy Spirit.
Desire
It is important to pray with desire. The Bible encourages us to pray about the things we desire. The Bible says in Mark 11:23-25; that God will give us what we desire when we learn to pray for it. Let us cultivate a genuine desire for the Holy Ghost anointing. Let us pray through desire!
Faith
Pray in faith. The Bible teaches that a man that wavers is unstable in all his ways. When we learn to pray in faith and with expectations; we take delivery of what we asked. God answers to faith and not to wishes.
Tarry
Wait patiently for the answers. While we wait, read! Sing! Listen! Soak! Fellowship. “Those who have redness of eyes are those who tarry long at wine.” The anointing requires time. We must be willing and ready to invest time if we want the anointing.
[Proverbs 23:29-31 KJV] “Who hath woe? Who hath sorrow? Who hath contentions? Who hath babbling? Who hath wounds without cause? Who hath redness of eyes? They that tarry long at the wine; They that go to seek mixed wine. Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, When it giveth his colour in the cup, When it moveth itself aright.”
Let these words admonish you and may you be patient when you come into the presence of God. Come to meet God and not a pastor. When you come relax to receive. We should allow God to work on us! We should allow the Father to pour Himself into us.
We need the anointing to live a victorious Christian life. We need the anointing to shine; the oil will cause our faces to shine. The anointing will set us apart for ministry and galvanize us against evil. The anointing is a must-have. We need the good gifts of God in our lives and we would be waiting until He comes upon us and dwell in us.
Stay blessed
