[Galatians 3:5 KJV] “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (See also Psalm 1, Joshua 1:8-10)
I want to speak on one of the mystical practices which everyone of us must develop as a habit for more miracles and anointing to flow in the church: studying the word, listening to preaching tapes, watching preaching videos and meditating on Christian literature. It’s is important to understand that the word of God is quick and powerful; dividing asunder soul and spirit… this word is sharper than any two-edged sword.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. (Hebrews 4:12 KJV)
Remember that the word we speak is spirit and it cleanses you.
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63 KJV)
We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. There are so many ways information and truth is diseminated but the child of God must commit him or herself to hear by the word of God. Any other means of hearing is not safe. The safest means of hearing is by the word.
“But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:16-17 KJV)
Miracles and anointing will flow easily when we listen by the hearing of faith. “Blessed is the man who does not sit in the seat of the scornful nor stand in the way of sinners but his delight is in the law of the Lord”. Those who meditate on the word of the Lord are like trees planted by the side of a river. They bring forth their fruits in due season.
Stay blessed
