Can you recieve your miracle through listening to God’s word? Today’s devotional is on listening and watching proofs.
[Galatians 3:5 KJV] “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?“
One of the key secrets to miracles and increasing in the anointing is listening to the word of faith. The hearing of faith is the conduit for working of miracles and the ministering of the anointing. When you learn to listen to the word of God, by the hearing of faith, you walk in miracles and the anointing.
The Bible tells us that one day there was a man at Lystra that was sick and he heard Paul preach in a meeting; the man listened with keen attention and got his miracle. I pray that you will recieve your miracle and healing in the name of Jesus!
“And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: the same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.” (Acts 14:8-10 KJV)
I therefore want to share with you simple secrets to listening to recieve your miracles. There is power in the word of God and once you listen by the hearing of faith, you will recieve your miracle.
“And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”
“Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few. But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.” (Acts 17:10-13 KJV)
If you want to both catch the anointing and recieve your miracle; then;
- Listen with an open mind; Don’t allow anything thing to cloud your mind. Let go of all your arguments and doubts. Listen to understand and not to answer back. Listen by following the argument and flow of thought of the Scriptures. Be open to learn new things from the Scriptures.
- Put the speaker at ease; Don’t make faces! Don’t sit unconcerned! Don’t frown! Don’t appear absent minded! Don’t let anything distract you!
- Take notes whenever it is possible! Taking notes is a sign of reverence and respect. Taking notes show that you will want to study the subject further in your own spare time. That is how the Bereans became a faith-filled church.
- Say amen at the blessing! Saying amen is a spiritual protocol to recieve the blessing. Your amen is what connects you to the power in the word. When God speaks the church must say amen!
- Lift up your hands to make the fire fall! The lifting up of your hands according to the Book of Psalms is as the evening sacrifice! When we lift our hands, we recieve from above upon the sacrifice. These are not mere mannerisms; they are spiritual protocols!
- Give a standing ovation to honour the preacher! When you stand for the reading of the word, the word gains the right authority. In the days of Nehemiah and Ezra, the church stood for the reading of the word. Standing also help the preacher to know which portions of the word is blessing you!
- Repeat the preacher’s punch-lines! Whenever the preacher says something that ministers to your need, repeat it after him. The spirit of faith make you speak out what you believe. When the preacher says God is a healer, you shall say “he is healing me, now!”
“And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him. And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us?”
“And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.” (Mark 6:1-6 KJV)
I pray that as you keep listening to the word, you will recieve your miracle and walk in the anointing!
Stay blessed!
