Today, we must plead with the Lord to make us into effective witnesses.

[Acts 1:4‭-‬8 KJV] “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”

In John 15:5, the Lord Jesus said that He is the vine and we are the branches; we ought to stay in Him and His word in us because, without Him, we can do nothing. We can do nothing, except by the help of the Lord. He is the pillar that holds our lives and keeps our spirit, soul and body together. We literally depend on Him for strength, that is why we must always connect with Him through prayer.

Remember that a witness is one who has experienced or witnessed an experience. We can only testify about things we have seen, heard, or handled. Therefore, to pray that God should make us effective witnesses means we are asking Him to give us testimonies that we can share with the nations. I speak on authority that every one of us will encounter God in a special way, amen!

However, I want to exhort every one of you to decide to enlist as a witness. Don’t keep your testimony to yourself. Let us step out to share and tell the story of the goodness of the Lord. This is important because of the following reasons;

The preaching of the gospel and the word of our testimony is the supreme weapons against the operations of darkness, and it is also the power to save the world. We overcome every power of darkness by the word of our testimony, and we activate this power to save the world by the preaching of the gospel of Christ.
Those who gather fruits unto eternal life will receive rewards from God. He is the Lord of the harvest and will reward those who gather fruits unto eternal life. John 4 teaches this clearly.
The third reason is the fact that those who turn many to righteousness shall shine as stars forever and ever. The prophet Daniel tells us this in Daniel 12.

I pray that you arise and get involved in ministry and missions.

The following steps will help you to become an effective witness;

Firstly, believe our report, and the arm of the Lord shall be revealed to you. You must believe before you can experience the manifestations. Faith is that master key.
Secondly, you must follow the Lord consistently. You just continue steadfastly in fellowship, doctrine, prayer, giving, and contentment. Coveteousness is as the sin of idolatry, so if we sink into coveteousness, we would not worshipping God, but idols.
Thirdly, we must tarry until we are anointed with the Holy Ghost and power. You must desire and run after the anointing. You must hunger for the anointing and strive to receive it.
Fourthly, we must strive to live authentic and attractive godly lives. That is the only way the gospel will be attractive to the world around us. Our lives must be authentic and attractive.
Fifthly, invite friends and family to the church where they can have an encounter with truth and grace. Be part of the publishers! Spread the word. Share the word to all platforms where men may be found.
Finally, share the gospel with everyone you meet. If every believer will share the gospel and the faith with everybody we meet and connect with, there may be no need to even send out missionaries. The cost of sending missionaries is too high and the work of missions very difficult. If we all get involved, the world will turn to Christ quicker and faster.

(Say this aloud;) Father God! I thank You for Your word, Your truth, and for Your revelation! I thank you for illuminating my mind, my spirit, and my heart! May Your name be praised, adored, hallowed and revered! (Lift your voice and thank the Lord! Spend some time praying)

(Say this aloud;) Dear God, please forgive our indifference, forgive our coldness. Forgive our love for everything other than Your ministry and missions. Lord forgive! Lord purge by blood! Purge by water! Purge the coldness by fire! Forgive and restore in the name of Jesus Christ! (Spend some time praying)

(Say this aloud;) Oh God! Ignite in us! Fresh fire, fresh zeal, and fresh persuasion! Create in us a heart for souls winning. Ignite us by fire! Send Your fire! Send Your Spirit! Send Your help! Touch the nations! (Pray)

(Finally, shout this aloud;) Any beast, assigned by the devil against my life, now! By fire! By thunder! By quakes! Clear off! Be bound! We crush you! Now! By fire! Now! By thunder now! In the name of Jesus! We are winning and advancing! In the name of Jesus!
