[Isaiah 2:1-5 KJV] “The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.”
“And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.”
According to the prophet Isaiah, the secret to church growth in these last days is visibility, invitation, and discipleship. The prophet says “the tops of the mountains shall be exalted and made visible; then many people shall invite friends and family to the services and the events, and then they shall be taught.” The master keys are visibility, invitation, and teaching; this is how the congregation shall grow and increase!
We must arise to make our church visible and to invite friends and family to Christ, the kingdom, the services, and events. Many people in Christ, in the church and kingdom, entered through this door. Many people will never have come to believe and be saved except someone close invited them. I exhort you to commit to invite anyone that you encounter to Christ, church, and the kingdom.
Let us arise and make the house attractive, visible, and safe; then we can invite friends and family to church. These are the master keys to increase and growth.
Definition: What does it mean?
To invite friends and family is to ask a friend or family in a polite or friendly way to come to Christ, the church, and faith. It is to formally ask friends and family to come to Christ, the church, and the kingdom! Remember to be polite and friendly.
Motivation: Why should you commit yourself to inviting friends and family to the services?
- Most people will accept and respond to invitations from a friend or family. It is safer that way.
- You may be the only missionary your friends and family may ever encounter in their lifetime.
- You are one of the few people connected to them. Many people have high walls that prevent others from reaching them.
- You are the light, ignite and be planted in your household. You are that light to lead them.
Steps: How do you invite friends and family?
Pray for them; go to them; and in a polite and friendly manner, invite them to come and see what the Lord has done for you; what you have found; what we are learning; and what God is doing.
- Jesus told the man of Gadara to go tell his friends and family what the Lord has done for him.
- Philip told his friend to come and see that he has found; the one of whom the scriptures speak.
- Isaiah says the people shall tell friends and family to come and learn of the ways of the Lord.
- Always point friends and family to what they stand to gain; most people will respond when they know what they stand to benefit.
Stay blessed
