I want to speak to you today about the need to be unbraided with your unbelief and hardness of heart.
[Mark 16:14-15 KJV] “Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”.
Many of us are braided with unbelief and hardness of heart. We have become so intertwined with your unbelief and have become of hardened hearts that God is unable to use us to reach others. Doubt and hardness of heart are destroying many precious men and women of the faith.
Faith is a precious ingredient when it comes to soul winning. It is like a two-way street, it is both important to the preachers, much as it is to the hearer. Faith is a noun but believe is an action word. It is something that you do and not just profess. As we wait on God, we want to invite Him to come into our closets and unbraid us with our unbelief.
Nothing fights soul-winning effort than unbelief and hardness of heart. We must know that the journey begins with faith, is run by faith, and finished by faith. It is a fight of faith, the good fight of faith. Unbelief and hardness of heart will fight your ability to win souls. Faith is about everything and the point where soul-winning starts. The soul-winner must have undeniable faith and the lost must also get faith before they can be saved.
- It takes faith to gain access to grace.
- It takes faith to make all things possible.
- It takes faith to keep standing.
- It takes faith to run your race and finish your course
Everything in this faith walk is by faith, through faith, and possible by faith.
Faith, we know, is the evidence of things not seen and the substance of things hoped for. Faith is that work of God in a man that enables him to believe in things that are invisible. That is why at new birth, every man is given a measure of faith.
As we fast and pray and wait, we have only one request; that the Lord will unbraid us with our unbelief. Sometimes, unbelief is as braids. It is literally woven into our fibre and begins to eat like a canker. My prayer for you is that your faith will not fail. I pray that every one of us will find his or her polished faith and rise to the occasion.
Remember that;
1. Faith comes by hearing:
Romans 10:17 teaches that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Without hearing, there cannot be faith. Faith is supreme because even when I intercede for you, you only get what you believe for. God will deliver what you believe for not what I pray for.
2. Faith works by the hearing of faith:
Hebrews 4:1-2 teaches that the word did not profit many who heard it in the past because they did not mix it with faith. You must mix what you hear with faith in order to gain the profit that comes with it. Faith works by the hearing of faith. Galatians 3:1-5 teaches that God works miracles and amounts with the Holy Ghost by the hearing of faith.
3. Faith is sustained through prayer:
Luke 18:1-6 teaches that praying men don’t faint, but prayer-less men will faint. God is expecting to find faith on earth and that happens when men pray. Your prayer will sustain your faith and keep you standing.
May the Lord increase your faith and help you to continue steadfastly. Your faith will not fail. God will be your help and the health of your countenance.
Be blessed, I love you!
