And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.” (Matthew 14:25-33 KJV)
Not many of the people who start out in faith are able to finish still believing and in faith. Many people that start in faith and in the spirit end in the flesh. Many can’t finish in faith because they think that walking by faith will exempt them from trouble. Of course, faith is a force that pushes through the odds but does prevent troubles.
If you want to face each moment in faith, then you must:
Wait
Wait daily for fresh instructions for every step; take your daily quiet times seriously. Don’t skip your daily time before God. Ask for daily instructions and guidance. Don’t presume that you know what the Lord will say.
Step out
Step out in obedience; start in the word. Obedience delayed is actually disobedience. Act promptly on the word. Don’t delay! Do as the word suggests and you will step into possibility and prosperity. When Apostle Peter stepped out in obedience, he began to walk on the sea.
Don’t doubt
As you face each moment by faith, don’t doubt when the storm becomes boisterous. Apostle Peter began to sink because he feared and doubted. When the storm becomes boisterous just pray, just cry out to the Lord, and see the hand of the Lord save and deliver you.
Stay blessed, I love you
