Ecclesiastes 10:18-19 KJV — By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. [19] A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
Today’s exhortation
The Bible exhort all believers to work with their hands something that is good. The truth remains that money answers all things under heaven. A feast is made for laughter, but money answers all things under heaven. You need money to be able to pay your bills and to take care of your needs under heaven. If there is any one thing that we should pray and work towards it is to earn both a living and a giving.
The apostles taught everywhere they went that the disciples should work to both pay for their needs and to help the weak. This was the culture of the early church. Apostle Paul had emphasized how he worked everywhere he went. He led by example and worked with his own hands to meet both his personal needs and the needs of those with him. He was not covetous! He was not driven by greed and the love of money. Apostle Paul was not working two three jobs. He was working to meet needs.
Acts 20:33-35 KJV — I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel. [34] Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. [35] I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
I am not speaking about two three jobs to amass wealth; I am exhorting you against laziness. I am teaching you the need to work and support the weak. We need to earn a living and a giving. I don’t want your house to fall through! I don’t want your life to decay. Let us arise and work with our hands, something good. May you be blessed in the field and in the home! May you receive great grace and great help to breakout on every side.
Today’s Prayer
- Pray that God will bless you with an idea of a stable job that is able to take care of your needs
- Pray for the favour and great grace that brings increase and abundance
- Pray that God will bless you with a peaceful woman (a responsible, loving)
- Thank God for grace and mercy to breakout
