The supreme agenda of Lucifer or Satan is to make the nations of the world and men worship him. Satan wants to be worshipped; he wants to turn attention to himself and be worshipped.
Isaiah 14:12-15 KJV — “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! [13] For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: [14] I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. [15] Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.“
To succeed at this, he uses weapons and wiles of darkness to turn attention to himself.
Some of the weapons he uses include;
Afflictions and suffering
Look at the story of Job, he turned fire on him to get him to curse God and turn his back on him. He brought untold hardships upon him and destroyed everything he had. His main agenda was to make Job curse God and worship him [the devil].
Enchantments and divination
The second weapon, the devil tries to use against us is enchantment and divination. The goodnews however is that every child of God is insulated against enchantment and divination. Though Balaam was hired to curse israel, he was unable to, because there is no enchantment nor divination against Israel.
Numbers 23:23 KJV — “Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, Neither is there any divination against Israel: According to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!“
Enchantment is the manipulative power or tool to cause a person to act in a particular way. It involves using charms, spells, and other fetish items.
Divination is seeking knowledge of the unknown or future from a spirit realm. Through divination Satan and his agents can see a colourful future and seek to destroy it.
Bewitching
Bewitching is to captivate completely; to enslave, control, or place under another power by magic or casting of spell. This is one of the tools Apostle Paul felt had been used against the church in Galatia.
Galatians 3:1 KJV — “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?“
Cursing
The fourth tool that the enemy uses is cursing. When David stepped out to fight Goliath, he cursed David by his gods; David countered it by his faith declaration. I decree that any curse against your life shall not stand!
Fiery darts
We need the chield of faith to quench fiery darts of the enemy. Fiery darts are weapons used to create doubt in you.
Ephesians 6:16 KJV — “above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.“
Entrapment
When all else fails, the adversary resorts to the use of entrapments and temptations. Balaam counselled Balak to use entrapment and temptation against Israel. Blessed is the man that endures temptation, when he is tried, he shall recieve the crown of life that God has prepared for them that love him.
Its important to affirm that
Isaiah 54:17 KJV — “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD“
Stay blessed
