“And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.” (Matthew 26:16 KJV)
Never allow the seed of offence and indignation to drown you.
The Bible tells us in Matthew 26:6-16 that a woman anointed the Lord Jesus Christ with an alabaster box of precious ointment. The Scriptures tell us that this made the disciples offended and angry; but one of the disciples took his offence too far.
Judas Iscariot was unable to master his pain and offence. This opened a door for Satan to enter into his heart and to move him to betray his master and love.
The Bible says that from that incident Judas sought for an occasion to betray the Lord. Beloved, if you don’t master your offence and anger and pain, you will nurse and hatch the devil’s eggs and seeds.
Always remember that as you relate with one another, offences may come but never betray one another. The pain may be deep but let love cover a multitude of wrongs. It may not be easy but allow the Holy Spirit to give you grace. Never allow pain and offences to drown you. Never betray a brother or sister or a pastor.
Offence and indignation is a beast. Master your pain and keep the bond of unity. You can if you are willing to obey. Don’t allow the beast of offences and indignation to drown you. When you allow offences, it will drown your reasoning. Your anger does not work the righteousness of God. It will make you spill blood before you know what you’ve done. Please, beware! Allow the Holy Spirit to work on your heart which is in pain.
Yes! We know you are right, but the person who wronged you is your loved one; Judas, think! Don’t allow the little embarrassment make you betray trust and sell your love one for 30 pieces of silver. Please, let’s keep the bond of peace.
Offences will defile many. You will do the unthinkable. You will spill blood because of offences. You may pitch camp with the enemy because of offences. Beware!
I believe you will allow the Holy Spirit to give you grace, even when you disagree with your brother or sister or pastors or spouse. Keep faith and don’t break trust. Trust is a precious virtue; don’t treat it with contempt. Strive to escape the trap that killed Judas. Please, try your best.

Today’s Prayer
Dear Father,
Help me to keep faith with those who love me. Help me to forgive those who hurt and offended me in the past. I refuse to carry the burden of offense and wrath.
I recieve strength and the Spirit of Love to press on.
