We have already studied that the three simple secrets of church growth are that the church must be given to;
- Anointing
- Fellowshipping and outreaching
- Separation from those who don’t believe and speak evil of the way
Operating in the fullness of the Anointing
I want to speak to you about operating in the fullness of the anointing. How do you operate in the anointing?
1. Know the anointing:
In Acts 19, the disciples had not received the Holy Ghost because they did not know of Him. We must know the Holy Ghost if we are going to receive Him.
2. Hunger and thirst for His sacred presence:
The Holy Ghost always fills those who thirst for His presence. He is close to those who desire Him above all other things. Your hunger is important if you are going to be filled with the Spirit.
3. Pray for His infilling and presence:
The Scriptures assure us that God will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. You must pray for the Holy Spirit if you want to receive Him.
4. Maintain the fellowship of the Holy Spirit:
Apostle Paul recommended that we should maintain the fellowship of the Spirit.
5. Stir up the gift of God in you:
It is also important to stir the gift when you receive it. We should not allow the gift to lie dormant. The Holy Ghost is necessary and we must stir up the gifts if we would operate at the fullness of His power.
6. Grieve not the Holy Spirit (Bitterness and Anger):
Ephesians 4:30 admonishes us not to grieve the Holy Spirit in us.
