Possessing the Gates of the Enemy

Day 6 of 21 Days of Breaking Limits

[Genesis 22:15-18 KJV] “And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, [16] And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord , for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son : [17] That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; [18] And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice“.

The Lord has sworn by Himself that because of the obedience of Abraham, his descendants shall possess the gates of their enemies.

Two simple truths stand out in this text:

1. The descendant of Abraham will have enemies
2. The descendant of Abraham shall possess the gates of his enemies

I don’t know who is pitching camp against you but we declare on this 6th day of these 21 Days that, anybody who pitches his camp against you as an enemy forfeits their gates.

[Genesis 24:60 KJV] “And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them”.

On her wedding day, Rebekah’s brothers blessed her and declared that she shall be a mother of thousands. They further invoked the blessings of Abraham upon her, that her descendants will possess the gates of those who hate them.

Today, we stand here as the descendants of Abraham to possess the gates of those who hate us. We stand in warfare and declare that we possess the gates of the enemy. As we lift up prayer, God is giving us the gates of those who hate us.

#1. Prayer for BLESSING, ENLARGEMENT, and PROTECTION :

Oh Lord bless me, enlarge my coast, let your hand be with me, keep me from evil and let it not grieve me.

This is our desire, and the Lord Shall grant it. You will be blessed and enlarged.

Lord, bless and enlarge my life and business.

This is the time that your life must see blessings, enlargement, and protection. May the Lord grant these three desires in this season of your life!

[1 Chronicles 4:9‭-‬10 KJV] “And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. [10] And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested”.

#2. Prayer for GRACE:

Oh God in the day of danger, destruction and judgement, let my generation and I find grace before you. Let your mercy prevent us from going out in the way of danger. Keep us from judgement in the name of Jesus Christ!

As Noah found grace before God, may you find greater grace in the day of evil and calamity! May grace preserve you from danger and judgement! May you find a shelter from the stormy blast in God!

[Genesis 6:1-9 KJV] “And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, [2] That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. [3] And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. [4] There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. [5] And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [6] And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. [7] And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. [8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord . [9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God”.

#3. Prayer for DOMINION and POSSESSION:

Dear Lord, raise leaders from among us, and for us; and lead us to loose the loins of kings and to discover the hidden treasures of darkness and the wealth of secret places as you did in the days of Cyrus.

There are treasures in dark places that we must discover. May the Lord lead us to discover and uncover them. This is the time to subdue kings and loose their loins. This is the time to discover and possesses the hidden treasures of dark places.

We decree the discovery and repossession of every virtue that is seized and hidden in the storehouses of darkness! We uncover the treasure houses of dark places and possess the wealth of the wicked. They are turning to us now!

[Isaiah 45:1-3 KJV] “Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut; [2] I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: [3] And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord , which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel”.

#4. Prayer for HEALING and RESTORATION:

Dear Father, be my healer! Deliver me from terminal ailments. Deliver me from deadly infections! Let my health be renewed, and let my youth be renewed as that of the eagle. Are you not the God of Hezekiah? Make haste and heal my infirmity! Heal me Oh Lord and I will be healed!

[Isaiah 38:1-6 KJV] “In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord , Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. [2] Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord , [3] And said, Remember now, O Lord , I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. [4] Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, [5] Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord , the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. [6] And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

#5. Prayer of PROVIDENCE:

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil! Provide guidance and goods for life. Grant not the request of the devil to tempt us! Deliver us from the wicked intentions of the devil to tempt us to fall.

Job was tempted except with death;

We pray that we will not be tempted! Spare us the ordeal of such a challenge. Protect and keep us from evil!

I pray that today marks the beginning of possessing the gates of the enemy. May the Lord establish you! May you walk in the blessing of Abraham! Rule and stay on top.
